Description
The Glenlivet Nadurra is a punchy and smoky whisky, derived from casks filled with Glenlivet, giving it a gentle smokiness that is difficult to match with regular peated whisky. Bottled at cask strength, it has an intense character with a run through of smoke.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Tangy and ‘fizzy’, old fashioned lemonade and hints of Orangina or Buck’s Fizz even. There’s gooseberry and a touch of coconut and foam banana. Raspberry and rhubarb develop. The peat comes through as nutty malted barley.
Taste: Tasting this alongside Ian Logan, he explained how his favourite tasting notes are the ones that get right to the point, so here you go: Peat & Pear Drops!
Finish: Creaminess and earthy peat combine for a chocolatey finish, both pleasantly bitter cocoa and creamy Cadbury’s hot chocolate with hints of fruitiness still.
