This 2009 Wild Turkey Tradition Master Distiller Selection 14 Year Bourbon, released in just 14,000 US bottles, is a stunning example of premium quality bourbon. Originally distilled in 1995, this crafted dram was hand-picked by Master Distiller Jim Russell. Bottled at 101 proof, or 50.5% ABV, it was aged in virgin white oak barrels with the heaviest and most expensive level of charring. Matured in the center cut of Wild Turkey’s warehouse, this bourbon embodies Wild Turkey’s tradition and premium quality. The nose opens with honey, syrup, and musty wood, followed by vanilla, cream cheese custard, and cinnamon. The palate features layers of honey, maple, caramel, cherries, nutmeg, and finely aged leather.
