Buffalo Trace Distillery has released the Daniel Weller 1794 Emmer Wheat Straight Bourbon Whiskey, a 11.5-year-old 94-proof wheated bourbon whiskey. This experimental release pays tribute to the Weller family lineage, with Daniel Weller’s son Samuel purchasing his stills after his death in 1807. The whiskey has a sweet honeyed profile with citrus, spice, and oak notes. The retail price is significantly higher than previous BT releases.
