Description
Michter’s has released a limited-edition Kentucky straight rye, bottled at cask strength. The rye is made by combining Michter’s US*1 Single Barrel Rye with a secondary barrel, using 24-month air-dried staves. The rye whiskey is 108 proofs, with proof varying based on cask strength. It will be available in September 2017.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Pepper and rubbing alcohol leaning into butterscotch and cherries.
Taste: Rye spiciness and buttery smooth charred vanilla with a warming heat that rises slowly.
Finish: Oak and rye spice that lasts well into overtime.
