Suntory Yamazaki Distillery has released a unique 18-year-old single malt whisky, the Yamazaki Mizunara Japanese Oak Cask 100th Anniversary, in 2023. This special edition, sourced solely from Japanese Mizunara oak casks, differs from the brand’s core Mizunara 18-year-old portfolio release. The whisky features a nose of dark cherries, cinnamon, and nutmeg, followed by a palate of spices, Japanese incense, cloves, and dried coconut. The whisky is expected to be available in around 2,000 bottles.
