Description
Teeling 29 Year Single Malt Irish Whiskey is a well-crafted expression with a blend of sweet and fruity flavors. Distilled in 1989 at Cooley Distillery, it is aged in ex-rum casks for 27 years to create its sweet and spicy character. After this, it is transferred to casks previously holding Pedro Ximénez sherry and finished in ex-Pedro Ximénez sherry solera barrels for two years, gaining a fruity taste.
The whiskey is then bottled using pure water and is limited to 100 bottles in the US. This rare and valuable Irish craftsmanship is a must-have for any whiskey enthusiast.
Tasting Notes
Nose: On the nose, this beautiful caramel-colored whiskey yields an alluring aroma of vanilla, raisins, dried dark fruits, burnt brown sugar, malt, almonds, dark chocolate, and oak, paving the way for a rich, silky.
Taste: Complex palate of more raisins, more almonds, and more dark fruits supported by notes of sherry, caramel, white pepper, and baking spices.
Finish: Culminating in a fairly lengthy and gratifying finish of sweet fruits.
