The Balvenie DoubleWood 17 year old Single Malt Scotch Whisky, released in 2012, is aged in a blend of American oak and sherry-seasoned oak. It is the older sibling to Balvenie’s 12 year old DoubleWood expression. Launched to celebrate Malt Master David Stewart’s 50 years at the distillery, it features dark black cherries, medicinal herbs, honey, apples, and a hint of green banana. The palate is rich with earth, apple pastries, cream, cherries, and vanilla. The delectable sweet and short finish makes it a perfect choice for any occasion.
