Description
The Balvenie Stories series has released A Day of Dark Barley 26 year old Single Malt Scotch Whisky, a taste back to 1992 when mashman Brian Webster and maltman Robbie Gormley attended the delivery of dark barley. This unique ingredient is typically used in brewing stout. Aged for at least 26 years in first-fill ex-bourbon casks, the Scotch is bottled at 47.8% ABV. Produced in limited quantities, it offers aromas of crisp green apples, gummy candies, floral, white grapes, and pears, with a palate that shifts up sweetness with honey, vanilla, and spice, complementing hues of salt, butter, and ginger.
