Nikka Whisky, founded in 1918 by Masataka Taketsuru, is celebrating its founder’s journey to Scotland to discover the excellence of true malt whiskey. To pay tribute to Taketsuru, the company offers Taketsuru Pure Malt 21-year-old blended malt whiskey.
The nose opens with cocoa powder, darkly roasted espresso coffee, aged oak, and dried prunes soaked in soy sauce. The palate is rich with warm black pepper corns, sherry, turmeric spice, ground ginger root, and fresh marmalade. The 21-year-old blended malt whiskey offers a divine, sensual experience with sweet and soy notes.
