Irish Distillers has launched the Midleton Very Rare Dair Ghaelach collection, a series of single pot still Irish whiskeys aged in barrels made of Irish oak grown on various Irish estates. Each release is crafted from hand-selected whiskies aged between 13 and 26 years. The Dair Gahelach Knockrath Forest Tree 2 is aged in American oak ex-bourbon barrels and Irish oak hogshead casks from the Knockrath Estate. Matured to a cask strength of 113.2%, it offers aromatic notes of pot still spices and Irish oak.
