Wild Turkey Russell’s Reserve 13 year old Kentucky Straight Bourbon, released in 2021, is a cult status collectors item created by master distiller Eddie Russell. Crafted to honor the distillery’s history and Jimmy Russell’s father, the whiskey is made from 75% corn, 13% rye, and 12% malted barley. Aged for 13 years in new charred oak, it is finished to 57.4% ABV or 114.8 proof and is expected to become an annual release due to high demand. The nose is smoky with sweet fruits, citrus, and toffee candy, while the palate is characterized by cream, buttery oak, and baked brown sugar.
