Description
Suntory’s Hakushu 25 year old Limited Edition Single Malt Whisky is a collectible and highly acclaimed product. It was awarded Best Japanese Sigle Malt at the World Whisky Awards in 2018 and 2020 and received a rating of 93 points from whisky critic Jim Murray.
The limited edition, produced in just 100 bottles worldwide, is aged for a minimum of 25 years in select sherry casks. The whisky features notes of smoke, sweet apples, toffee, and fresh herbs, layered between oak slivers. The custom box features a five-cord Mizuhiki tied knot symbolizing the heart-felt connection between the giver and recipient.
Tasting Notes
Nose: A smouldering, smoky nose with toffee apples, rancio, Armagnac, ginger and nutmeg.
Taste: A rich, sherried palate with wood smoke, linseed, rhubarb and custard sweets, raspberries and walnut. A hint of spearmint develops.
Finish: A long, herbal, nutty finish with bittersweet oak on the tail.
