Description
The Jameson range’s pinnacle blends sherry and bourbon-matured pot-still spirits for a pot-still-heavy, fruity, and spicy flavor. Matured for 18 years in European and American oak casks, it’s finished in first-fill bourbon barrels, introducing vanilla traces and a mellow finish with wood, spice, and toffee notes.
Tasting Notes
Nose: A firm woody aroma, an antique oak bookcase, leads with soft, buttery fudge and a touch of apricot yoghurt. Through some milk chocolate and cider apple, there’s a hint of earthy spice and old armchair leather.
Taste: Spiced toffee apple cake, vanilla cream and a subtle sherry nuttiness rise initially before notes of warm gingerbread and Turkish Delight emerge. Sweet cereals, manuka honey and new saddle leather form the backdrop against a muscular oak core.
Finish: A lengthy finish concludes with more wood and hints of walnut husks, buttery corn, toffee and cocoa nibs.
